My Dotfiles Setup in 2026
The complete breakdown of my terminal configuration — from Neovim to Starship prompt, managed with GNU Stow.
The philosophy
Every configuration file should be version-controlled, symlinked from a single directory, and reproducible on any new machine in under 5 minutes.
The stack
Neovim (LazyVim), Starship prompt, tmux with custom keybindings, zoxide for directory jumping, and bat/eza as drop-in replacements for cat and ls.
Stow-based management
GNU Stow creates symlinks from a Git repo to your home directory. One command to deploy, one command to tear down. No install scripts, no bootstrapping headaches.
